Walter Kirn is the author of eight books and an e-book. His novels Up in the Air and Thumbsucker have both been adapted into successful films. Kirn’s most recent publication, a memoir titled Blood Will Out: The True Story of a Murder, a Mystery and a Masquerade, tells the story of his friendship with imposter and convicted murderer Clark Rockefeller. Kirn graduated from Princeton University in 1983 and went on to earn a second degree in English literature at Oxford. He is a contributing editor to Time magazine, where he was nominated for a National Magazine Award in his first year, and a regular reviewer for the New York Times Book Review. His work has appeared in the New York Times Magazine, GQ, Vogue, New York and Esquire. He splits his time between Montana and California.
